CAPCSD is an organization of more than 250 member programs that offer undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in Communication Science and Disorders (CSD). When founded in 1978, the overall goal was to enhance the quality of education in CSD.

CAPCSD has evolved into an organization whose vision it is to be the definitive source of leadership, education and advocacy for academic programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Our Mission

Our mission is to promote quality, accessibility and innovation in Communication Sciences and Disorders in higher education. We advance the highest standards in pedagogy, clinical education and research. The Council facilitates the recruitment, education and retention of both faculty and students to meet the public need.
