CAPCSD Call For Papers

2018 CAPCSD Annual Conference
April 11-14, 2018
Hilton Austin, Texas

Submission Deadline was Friday, September 15, 2017.  First authors will be notified of final decisions by November 15, 2017.

The CAPCSD Conference Planning Committee (CPC) is now accepting theme-related presentation submissions for 60 and 90-minute academic and clinical exchanges.

Following are the suggested topic areas:

  • Telepractice
  • IPE/ IPP
  • Students with Disability/ Mental Health
  • SoTL
  • Ethics
  • Student Professionalism
  • Diversity
  • Undergraduate Education
  • Critical Thinking
  • Evidence Based Practice
  • Alternative Clinical Models of Education
  • Grant Writing

The proposal process is competitive and only a limited number of presentations can be accepted.  Please review your submission carefully. It will be printed exactly as submitted unless first authors are notified otherwise for changes by the CPC.

In order for a proposal to be considered, it must include the following information:

  1. Contact information for all authors, including employers, emails, physical addresses, phone numbers.  Note: The first author listed will be the main contact for the submission.
  2. Title that does not exceed 10 words.
  3. Abstract of 100 words or fewer.
  4. Three learning objectives.
  5. Target audience (e.g., department chairs, clinical directors, program directors, general faculty, etc.)
  6. Author biographical statement(s), each no longer than 50 words.

Submission deadline was Friday, September 15, 2017.  First authors will be notified of final decisions by November 15, 2017.

CAPCSD Conference Exhibitor Submissions

CAPCSD Conference exhibitors may submit a proposal for a 30 or 60-minute presentation during a conference break for a fee of $500. The number of submissions accepted is limited.

Note: All authors of accepted submissions will be required to complete Financial and Non-financial Relationships Disclosures, consistent with ASHA and AAA’s Conflict of Interest policies.
