The
mission of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is to empower and
support speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and speech, language, and hearing
scientists by advocating on behalf of persons with communication and related
disorders, advancing communication science, and promoting effective human
communication.
To help develop awareness
about these services and professions among the public and other health care
professionals - and to create an awareness of speech-language pathology among
scientifically oriented young minds - the (your department) will be judging projects at the (name)Science
State Fair on (date and location)
This
will be our # year at the Science Fair,
which will host # projects
from every corner of the state. To reach the state level, students must
progress through the school, district, and regional levels. During the awards
ceremony, # students,
friends, media representatives, supporters, parents, and grandparents will fill
Assembly Hall. In addition to the (your agency), organizations such as the _________,
will also be in the hall to present cash awards and prizes.
As
a company that specializes in products for the speech-language pathologist, we
are asking for your support to make our presence at the Science Fair more
meaningful. This year, we have set aside $$ for a senior level award and $$ for
a junior level award. Can you donate cash or gifts to supplement our
awards? Gifts left over from the ASHA convention or a small amount of
cash would be very much appreciated.
