- To best utilize science fairs as a recruitment tool, it is important to plan early.

Check with your local junior high and high school district to determine what science fairs are held in your region or state.
- Know that not every state has a junior science organization. Nor is there formal coordination or affiliation between state organizations.
- The main professional organization for science teachers is the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA). The website is www.nsta.org.
- Browse the virtual library of science fairs at the Physics website at the University of Southern California.
