Council Listserves
|
We have two email discussion lists whose purpose is to discuss
topics pertinent to the issues and mission of the organization:
The Council Forum (COUNCIL-FORUM)
- advancing the goals and effectiveness of graduate education
programs, including the promotion of research and the definition
of educational standards;
- facilitating the exchange of scholarly and professional
information; and
- fostering initiatives to enhance the preparation of students
in ways that are congruous with the public need.
Membership is open to all who are interested.
The Ph.D. Program Directors Forum (CAP-PROGDIR-FORUM)
The purpose of the Ph.D. Program Directors Forum is to provide a vehicle to discuss the shortage of Ph.D. students and faculty in communication sciences and disorders. Topics include but are not limited to :
- student recruitment and retention
- Ph.D. academic programs
- research training
- mentoring, tenuring, and retaining Ph.D. faculty
- integration of clinical training into Ph.D. programs
Membership is open to all who are interested in the shortage of Ph.D. students and faculty including administrators, faculty, clinical educators, staff, students, potential students, and clinicians.
- Membership of the lists is open to anyone in the
Internet community who is interested in the topic. Please keep
this in mind when you post a message.
- Civil behavior is expected. Flames, slurs, or otherwise rude
behavior will not be tolerated.
- Advertising products or services to these lists is strictly
forbidden.
- Infractions of rules 2 or 3 will result in removal from
the list.
- The list administrator has final authority in the application
of any of these rules.
Specific questions about the use of the lists, or the purposes
of the lists or organization, should be directed to the list

As of August 27, 2008, we are using a new web-based interface to administer the listserves.
