Interprofessional Education / Interprofessional Practice Learning Community

Periodically, CAPCSD's Interprofessional Education / Interprofessional Practice Committee develops and presents a learning community to individuals from CAPCSD member programs. These learning communities are proposed to CAPCSD's Board of Directors and approved prior to promotion to member programs. Learning community participants are generally selected via an application and review process conducted by the committee.
The scope of past IPE/IPP Learning Communities has been a 7-10 hour academic-year hybrid space where CSD educators, professionals and administrators attended (4) synchronous Zoom events and (3) asynchronous learning community sessions took a deep dive into the intricacies of interdisciplinary collaboration and designed a comprehensive implementation plan. The Learning Community guided participants in incorporating the domain, professors, core IPEC competencies, assessment methods, and funding streams into participant projects.
An IPE/IPP Learning Community for the 2026-2027 academic year is currently being planned. Stay tuned for application information to be announced via CAPCSD Newsletter and email.
Academic Affairs Learning Community
Periodically, CAPCSD's Academic Affairs Committee develops and presents a learning community to individuals from CAPCSD member programs. These learning communities are proposed to CAPCSD's Board of Directors and approved prior to promotion to member programs. Learning community participants are generally selected via an application and review process conducted by the committee.
