SLPA Programs are Now Eligible to Apply for CAPCSD Membership
Why Join CAPCSD?
CAPCSD is the source of leadership, education, and advocacy for academic programs in communication sciences and disorders (CSD). We provide CSD program leaders with essential resources and connections for achieving excellence. Directors, faculty, clinic directors, students, and long-term program development are enriched by united efforts through inclusive collaboration, advocacy, and education. CAPCSD is dedicated to advancing the unique needs of the field and CSD programs:
- Problem-solving focused on issues unique to CSD
- Preparation for relevant changes in the field impacting education and accreditation

Annual membership runs July 1 – June 30. Dues are $500 per year for Member Programs and $250 for Affiliate Program Members. Membership includes everyone in the academic program - faculty, clinic directors, and staff. Applications are accepted year-round, and dues are not prorated.

CAPCSD Offers Two Membership Options:
Beginning in October 2022, SLPA programs in communication sciences and disorders are eligible to apply for CAPCSD membership.
All U.S. and international institutions of higher education that offer academic degrees in communication sciences and disorders, SLPA, undergraduate, and graduate, can join. It is our goal to be the most comprehensive solution-centered support organization for CSD programs around the world.
CAPCSD serves member institutions in ways that promote quality work, accessible resources, and innovations that strengthen the field of CSD. Membership benefits provide resources and support through:

In support of developing programs, CAPCSD offers an Affiliate Membership for academic programs that are in the planning phase of creating a CSD program and are not yet eligible for CAPCSD membership. When the program enters the first class of students, they are eligible to apply to become a regular member of CAPCSD.
