Admissions Committee and Clinical Educators' Academy Committee
CAPCSD is a volunteer-based organization that provides the best solution-centered support for CSD programs. CAPCSD volunteers are the organization's backbone and help us serve our 350+ member programs and 4,000 faculty.
CAPCSD seeks members such as Chairs, Program Directors, Graduate Coordinators, Clinic Directors, Faculty, Deans, and Provosts. Committees range from involvement in conference planning, training and development, academic and clinical-focused initiatives to task force work on targeted topics.
Applications will close on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. ET.
All committee terms run through June 30, 2027.
In addition to your contact information, you will be asked to provide your CV and answer the three questions below to demonstrate your interest in experience, expertise, and commitment to volunteering on a CAPCSD committee. Each question has a 100-word limit.
- What lived and professional experiences do you have relevant to CAPCSD’s mission and vision, and how will you use them to bring CAPCSD forward?
- Do you have specific activities (i.e., evidence) from your professional life, CAPCSD or otherwise, that speak to you being a good fit for the Academic Affairs Committee?
- How will you balance committee activities with your other professional duties and commitments? What time and effort can you commit to participate in the work of the committee?

What kind of time commitment can I expect?
This is a working committee. Members can anticipate attending 1-2 virtual meetings per month with some monthly offline work. The anticipated workload, including meeting attendance, is approximately 3-5 hours monthly. The committee provide valuable content and feedback across the admissions space, execute the CSDCAS Open Data Initiative and represent CSDCAS at the conference. Within the general charge, committee members must suggest and advance specific priorities and activities for the committee.
Desired Qualifications
Interested candidates must meet the following required qualifications and be willing to carry out the duties of the CSDCAS committee as outlined below.
- An appointment at a CAPCSD member program.
- A working knowledge of graduate admissions, including the student applicant perspective.
- The ability to network with professional peers and serve in a mentorship role.

Clinical Educator's Academy Committee
The Clinical Education Committee members participate in developing and planning the 2027 Clinical Educators' Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. If you have a passion for clinical education and a desire to improve educational opportunities for other clinical educators, consider volunteering for this committee.
We are looking for three (3) audiologist and three (3) speech-language pathologist.
What kind of time commitment can I expect?
Clinical Educators' Academy Committee members participate in regular virtual meetings to develop and plan the 2027 Clinical Educators' Academy. Overall time commitment varies based on the task at hand but is managed in a way that is sustainable for volunteer committee members. Committee work is supported by CAPCSD staff who are dedicated to the successful implementation of CAPCSD initiatives.
Desired Qualifications
The Clinical Education Committee seeks members such as Chairs, Program Directors, Graduate Coordinators, Clinic Directors, Faculty, Deans, and Provosts.
- Expertise in and commitment to evidence-based practices in clinical education in audiology and speech-language pathology.
- Experience in planning professional development opportunities.
- Interest and willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to accomplish committee work.
